Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The majority of her childhood listening to classic music, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic tunes along with classic classical music. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas and any form drama. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense singing instruction. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous chamber and opera choirs. After 2000, she emigrated into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
