Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is famous for her starring roles in the film Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! She began her acting career in her twenties. The character she played in Tezaab Anil Kapoor on Tezaab has was a huge hit and made her extremely popular. Then she appeared in the movie Dil In which she shared the screen alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a middle-class household in Mumbai she took up dancing at an early age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled for some years, as many the films she made were flops. She finally found success, which led her to become one of the top actresses in the Indian film industry. She took a hiatus from her acting career after the wedding before returning to the industry of entertainment. More recently she played an important role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women within India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. She is known for her charitable work as well.
